New Painting and Design Crafts in the gallery for Autumn

We very much enjoyed having artists in residence Amy McCarthy and Michelle Greenwood Brown for Devon Open Studios. Words & Pictures Gallery had massive footfall and I think its the busiest the gallery has ever been - certainly over the last year and a half! We were able to maintain our Covid safety measures though and both artists and curator are happily without infection!

Its back to regular Gallery hours and a more diverse range of art and craftwork now. There are some brilliant works from Mike Tingle, Jayne Lenihan, Heidi Archer, Rachael Bennett, Robert Freame, Paul Warner and Tyrone Dalby... just a selection of the 70+ artists and craft designers that Words & Pictures Gallery represents in Teignmouth.

Our next one person exhibition is mid November with painter Jane Branch. I'm hoping infection rates will have dropped enough to allow for a private view but I will review the situation with more details closer to the time.

In the interim please do visit the gallery if you can - its looking particularly vibrant at the moment against the backdrop of greying skies and shortening days.
