First Exhibition of 2022

Monica-Shanta presented the first part of 'The Dog Walk Project' last year during lockdown as a virtual tour of work physically hung in the gallery. It also filled the gallery window so it could at least be seen in part if you made it into Teignmouth. The artworks were complex printed digital and relief pieces using thousands of shells found while (as the name suggests) Monica-Shanta was walking her dog along the coast. They are more than just records of time and place borrowing from 'Sailor's Valentines' - shell collections brought back from Barbados by sailors as souvenirs in the 1800s.
Part Two of 'The dog Walk Project' is the sister artworks from walks made in Shaldon's Botanical Gardens'
We are contemplating a private view but it rather depends on Covid infection numbers and the risks involved. I will keep you posted with an updated bulletin when a decision and date have been finalised.
