Devon Open Studios with Michelle Greenwood Brown (Mosaic Artist) & Amy McCarthy (Glass Artist)

Its been a long year with very few exhibitions at the gallery but finally something to break the drought... Devon Open Studios with Michelle Greenwood Brown and Amy McCarthy.

We have been looking forward to this for some time and both artists have a batch of new works produced over the last few months in between their individual practices that consist of commissioned works and community based projects. Amy and Michelle have an impressive recent history of producing very public commissions in Devon and if you walk through Totnes, Teignmouth, Dawlish or Newton Abbot you could not fail to see their hand in a number of projects and artworks.

The next two weeks will see both artists in Words & Pictures Gallery either working on public and private commissions or producing artwork for their general portfolio.

They are absolutely approachable and friendly people and like most artists are more than happy to talk about their ideas, processes and materials.

There are many ready made works for sale and both artists are happy to talk you through the commission process if you want something specifically made for you.
