Devon Open Studios 9 - 24 September 2017 @ Words & Pictures Gallery with Amy McCarthy & Mic

In mid September the gallery is very lucky to be hosting 2 highly respected designer-makers in the annual 'Devon Open Studios'. Both makers have work all over the south west and have made a significant contribution to the cultural aesthetic of Teignmouth.

As well as exhibiting a range of existing works both artists will be using the gallery as a work-space and visitors can see them engaged in designing and making. Michelle Greenwood-Brown and Amy McCarthy have won prestigious commissions this year and the gallery is thrilled to be in a position to have them exhibit work with us.

If you have never heard of Devon Open Studios - its an annual event where artists give the general public an opportunity to visit their studios and workshops to watch them engage in the design and production of art. You can ask questions and probe the darkest recesses of the artists minds.
